RoadTripin2!

Day 1:
We spent the night in Downtown Nashville. After talking to the experts of the area (the HIE desk attendents) we landed a limo for the night at no cost. I'd say the trip was starting off pretty good. After a little Soul Train, we headed downtown. I really enjoyed Nashville’s strip. I would definitely recommend anybody looking for a fun big city night to head to Nashville. I would recommend stopping by "The Stage" for a great atmosphere and some live music.

Day 2:
Consisted of driving 12 hours after our later than anticipated start to the day. The 12 hour drive turned into 13 after hitting some traffic near the Tennessee & North Carolina border.

Day 3:
A day at the beach on the Outer Banks of N.C. Disappointing nightlife though. The town was dead. We weren't expecting a ton, but we were hoping that our ridiculous 45 minute trek would result in more.

Day 4:
A day at the "Drive-On" beach with the locals. We met some locals the night before and headed up to a really cool Drive-On beach. We saw some dolphins/whales off in the distance, and ate some fresh Chesapeake Blue crab with them that night in an immaculate vacation home.

Day 5:
A disappointing stop in Va. Beach. The town just isn't what any of us remember/expected. The beach is nice and accompanied with some nice hotels, but the rest of the town just felt like a bargain surf shop. I wouldn't recommend Va. Beach for much. We then drove through Norfolk, which was really cool, on our way to our final destination of West Virginia to stay by a friend in the Appalachians.

Day 6:
A standard day of sightseeing in D.C. I was impressed with how clean the downtown area was. I know it is the nation's capitol, but it still takes quite a bit of work to keep a city clean.

Day 7:
NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. Now I can say, "I was there". That's about all I got out of it. We spent the night in Columbus. We found a real cool sports bar overlooking 10 or so volleyball courts participating in Thursday night league.

Day 8:
Back to Brew City.

Over all, I'm glad I went and really enjoyed the company. It was the perfect get-away to get motivated for classes.

Who's The Best?

With the trade...it poses the question. Who is the best QB in N.Y.?

Shot Down

Two days after I make my prediction "blogg-known", it gets shot down. Brett Favre is now in the Big Apple. At this moment, I can't get over the fact that the Packers didn't want him. Why would you not want the best players at your disposal on the field at all times? Why would you want to make the NFC championship game one year and decide to move on the next. I hope Rogers does will, but we always knew that the QB that followed in Favre's footsteps would have some rough seas to sail. Evey incomplete pass, every interception, and especially every loss is going to result in a Favresque rant.

Jets fans are raving about this deal, and they should be. Spectacular QB's are pretty rare to come by. Cudos to the Jets for making the deal.

I grew up watching the guy. I vaguely remember watching "The Majic Man" behind center...not bad considering I was five years old. I think I can say that I have been more of a "Favre" fan over the years than I've been a "Packer" fan. I don't think it will, but I just hope this doesn't turn into a "Jordan on the Wizards" story.

The Slim and Digital World

Sony recently updated the T-7 series with the models T-77 and T-700. I am pumped about these cameras. My first was a T-7, and I wish I still had it. It was a spectacular camera; even with the abuse it took on many Friday and Saturday nights. My favorite spec was the depth of the camera. It could sit in my pocket without notice.

The T-77 and T-700 look like a couple of really good upgrades. They both sport 10.1-megapixels, 4x optical get-a-closer-look, and the T-700 includes 4GB of internal memory. At $300, you would be able to land yourself a great camera and for an extra hundo you get 4GB of "Take it and like it" storage space. So...if you're in the market for a new digital, I would highly suggest one of these models.

Prediction...

I should have put this on my previous "Favre" post, because it is what I thought then.

To make it official, I predict #4 will be under center on opening day.
