Apple saves the day...again
The music industry has been on an interesting roller coaster over the past decade, with obstacles such like Napster, P2P, and even indie labels. But in over the past 2 years or so, Apple's role has been overlooked.
The music industry had no technique to deal with file sharing until Apple stepped in and taught them how. The iTunes store, along with the fear of viruses/poor quality files, has significantly reduced the amount of file sharing through mediums such as Limewire, and the original Napster. Other than bit torrents(not quite as user friendly), file sharing mediums have been weeded out. Although they are making bank on the media they sell, Apple deserves a hat tip from every major label in the recording industry.
